The Audi RS5 is back, with glowing reports all round. The RS5 was due an update, the previous model had been on the roads for six years. So Audi put on their thinking caps in a effort to best themselves yet again. The result, a faster, bigger, smoother and better looking vehicle than any in the series so far.
Working hand in hand with Porsche ( you know this is going to be good) Audi have replaced the aging 4.2 V8 engine with a state of the art sprightly young 2.9 litre twin turbocharged V6. With a top speed of 155 mph and a 0-62 mph time of 3.9 seconds, this new engine works wonders. There are multiple drive modes that the driver can select, and in all of these the RS5 is a joy to drive.
The interior of the RS5 is as fleshed out as you’d expect from an Audi interior, with plenty kit as standard we can assure you, you’ll not get bored any time soon. As standard drivers can enjoy Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel, as well as heated and electrically adjustable front seats, ambient interior LED lighting, tri-zone climate control. Drivers also get Audi’s MMI infotainment system with an 8.3in display, which includes sat nav, 10GB hard drive storage,DVD player, DAB radio, smartphone integration and a 10-speaker audio system.
The RS5 also gets 19in alloy wheels, LED lights all round both front and rear, an acoustically glazed windscreen as well as all Audi’s latest safety tech.
