The Volkswagen Up is one of VWs smallest and quirkiest vehicles. However that doesn’t mean it wont deliver on quality. Well built and good quality without just being a smaller version of what Volkswagen have done before. This is the manufacturers punt at a city car to take over the market.
Looking at engines and you get a choice of two petrol. Both are three cylinder options but with two different outputs, the first 60bhp, the second 75bhp. Both are available with a 5 speed manual gearbox and both are nippy for getting around town. Speaking of getting around town, to make this easy the handling feels light and responsive, you’ll have no issues getting around.
The interior is kept simple but makes sense. One aspect that is immediately obvious is the amount of room available. Youd expect that with this being a small car there is potential for passengers to be cramped, especially in the rear. However VW have manged to give more than ample room for even the tallest front passenger and the cleverly arranged rear seats mean most people will be able to travel in comfort without being cramped. Overall the VW up is an extremely capable city car that offer drivers plenty to work with.
