Sports cars are the accessory we all dream of having. Whether you day dream about it whilst sat at your work desk, or you get excited every time it passes you on the road. We all have our individual favorite. Today we’re going to run through a few of ours. In this day and age, almost every manufacturer out there produces a ‘sports car’, so below you’ll find a variety of vehicles in all shapes and sizes, with something slightly different to offer from one another. Who knows… below could be your ideal sports car lease.

Volkswagen Golf GTI

The Volkswagen Golf is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable and popular hatchbacks on the road today. In GTI guise it looks better than ever with styling and design features exclusive to the model. Instantly identifiable thanks to the red accented theme that features on both the exterior and interior. With space for four people the Golf GTI is a wise family car choice. Not only this, you know the family are safe whilst in the car thanks to VW’s incredible five star safety rating awarded by Euro NCAP.

The Volkswagen Golf may be overshadowed by the Golf R when it comes to power, but with a 0- 62 mph time of 6.2 seconds the Golf feels far from sluggish. Its also great fun to drive thanks to its light and tight steering, especially noticeable in corners. With a stylish exterior, high tech interior and great safety features the Golf GTI lease is a great choice for drivers looking at performance car leasing in a well rounded package. To take a closer look at the GTI in all its glory check out the Volkswagen website!

Pros

Stand out GTI design

Great safety features so a good family choice

BMW 2 Series M240i

The BMW 2 Series comes with a range of engines available, from punchy petrol to economical diesels. But the top of the range M240i is the model that makes it on to this list due to its 4.8 second 0-62 mph time and its limited top speed of 155 mph. The M240i is also probably the most desired 2 series, thanks to its ability to be a sensible business mans coupe, but then also absolute blast to drive. Take the interior for example, a well thought out, well laid out affair that equips the driver with all the necessary accessories but presents them in a mature and elegant manor. Match that with the unmistakable sound of the 2 Series’ turbocharged 3.0 litre and you’ve got the perfect balance of both worlds.

The M240i is a great blend of work and play, with suspension that feels smooth over bumps but stiff enough to eliminate body roll in corners, its a fantastic drive. So with its sporty looks and personality, matched with a great engine, if you can deal with small hitches such as a small boot opening then you should seriously consider the BMW M240i as your next sports car lease. Configure your perfect 2 series here!

Pros

Stylish coupe design

Great fun to drive

Spacious rear seats and boot (for a coupe that is)

Cons

A stylish yet rather simple interior

M2 has even more aggressive styling

Mazda MX5

The Mazda MX-5 is one of the most recognizable sports cars on the planet. Now in its fourth generation the MX-5 has sold over 1 million units to date. So obviously, Mazda are doing something right. The most recent version has been given more power, but still stays loyal to its roots. A combination of rear wheel drive and a choice of either a 1.5 or 2.0 litre engines make for a great driving experience. To give you a flavor of what has made the MX-5 so popular with drivers, the top spec 2.0 litre engine has an output of 182 bhp, the result is a 0-62 mph time of 6.5 seconds, which feels even faster thanks to the compact size and feel for the road you get in this vehicle.

Looking to the interior of the car and as standard drivers are supplied with a six speed manual gear box which is in line with the rest of the vehicles interior, where the focus is solely on the driving experience. The large central rev counter is another feature indicating the emphasis on driver fun. The entire interior is well designed and extremely practical, nothing is over done, yet the driver will never feel as though something is missing. Take a closer look at the Mazda MX-5 here, find out why its one of the most leased roadsters around.

Pros

Unique stand out styling

Designed with the driving experience in mind

Great value for money

Cons

Only a two seater (just choose your favorite child and have them in the front)

Some consider the MX-5 ‘dinky’ compared to other vehicles of today

Audi TT RS

The Audi TT RS really does define the phrase ‘performance lease’. Some versions of the TT have previously attracted the phrase ‘hairdresser’s car’, the RS couldn’t be further from that. Unless of course you are a hairdresser looking at an Audi TT RS lease, in which case…we take it back. You cant go faster than the TT RS in anything else for the same money. Getting from 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds makes this the fastest car on this list. With that the top speed comes in at 155 mph. All this thanks to a staggering 395 bhp via the five cylinder turbo engine. The sound of this engine is something you’ll relish every time you get behind the wheel.

The Audi TT RS is designed beautifully both inside and out. On the outside, subtle design touches indicate this is no regular TT. On the inside, features such as the bright red engine start stop button located on the steering wheel make every day feel like a track day. There are a couple of minor drawbacks to the TT RS such as rear passenger space. As in, theres almost non, but this is a well known fact of the TT and drivers looking to lease this vehicle will already be well aware this isn’t a car for the school run. Take a more detailed look at the Audi TT RS now!

Pros

Power! Speed!

Sleek exterior design

Audi’s virtual cockpit is a win

Cons

Back seats that are not really back seats (consider it extra boot space)

Other versions of the TT are far more affordable

BMW 5 Series 530e

So we are on to the final car on our list. The BMW 5 series 530e is a plug-in hybrid, or PHEV. Combining a 2.0 litre, 184 bhp four cylinder engine with a 9.2 KWh battery pack. This adds an extra 95 bhp. The result is 6.2 seconds from 0-62 mph and a top speed of 146 mph. An added advantage of the battery is that this enables the car to run on electric power only. BMW claim the 530e will do 29 miles on EV mode. There are of course other modes which combine the best of both petrol and electric power to get the most from the car. The modes are as follows, normal sport, comfort, and eco pro mode. These are standard on the 5 series, for the hybrid there are three other modes. You can find out more about these modes by clicking here.

The interior of the 530e is in line with what we have come to expect from a BMW vehicle. It feels well made and well built. With quality materials used throughout, as with the regular 5 series there is a good level of tech available on the model. However the overall feel is one of comfort. Therefor we feel the 530e is a great option for company drivers, with a relaxing interior, good mpg and and extra boost of electric power, theres no reason for the BMW 5 Series 530e not to be your next performance lease.

Pros

Its a BMW so quality is as we would expect

Extra mileage from electric battery

Strong MPG claims

Cons

As with the 2 series, the interior is stylish but simple

Unless you’re a business driver doing a large amount of miles on a daily basis, the regular 5 series is just as good
