Volkswagen Golf R-Line
The Volkswagen Golf R-Line lease provides drivers with a blend of Golf R styling and aggression, whilst still retaining a more economical and affordable outlook than that of the Golf R.
The exterior styling is unique to the R-Line and gives off a racy feeling thanks to the new bumpers, lower road stance, large twin exhaust pipes and large alloy wheels matched with black brake callipers as standard.
Available as both a 3 and 5 door model, the interior, as with all Golfs feels well built with sturdy components. The R-Line comes well equipped as standard with adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth capability and DAB radio. VW Discover satellite nav system is also featured. Drivers looking to lease a Golf R-Line will also be pleased to hear rear parking sensors and start stop tech both feature here.
There are a two engines available to choose from, one petrol and one diesel. Starting off with the petrol option, it’s a turbocharged 1.4 litre engine producing 148 bhp. That’ll get you from 0- 62 mph in 8.2 seconds. This engine is still relatively economical and is said to be able to get 58.9 mpg. On to the 2.0 litre diesel option and stats are quite similar, 8.6 secs from 0- 62 mph, 61 mpg and 148bhp. So whichever of the engines you decide to go for, it really comes down to personal preference. Manual and automatic gearboxes are both available to choose from, however the seven speed paddle auto is only available on 5 door models.
The Volkswagen Golf R-Line is a great option for drivers looking for an all-rounder or even a family car that still has a bit of get up and go. Good performance, solid build and economical outputs give the R-Line the edge over the competition in this class.
